The Edison PBA Community Outreach charitable organization was organized by Trustees (Edison PBA E-Board) and prominent community leaders to assist local charitable causes. Below you see a fresh, vibrant logo, a design for a local community watch group, and member cards which were produced on thick plastic card stock.

Pizza-Grill.com approached me to design a website for their many locations, but like most small businesses, they had no artwork on file. All I had to work with was a menu and a photo of their signage. I designed the vector artwork from the bitmap images, and the new clean artwork was used in the site layout and for any print media. Unfortunately, it seems that the company has split up amongst the various locations and franchise owners and abandoned the website which I designed many years ago. But it did serve them well for several years, and it even had a database back-end where the owners of several locations could update each of their separate menus.

CNTT Patch Afghanistan

Below are two versions of a patch designed for the Counter Narcotics Training Team located in Afghanistan. For the indigenous teams, a patch was needed which displayed the Afghanistan flag and text translated into Farsi. In order to get sharp graphics, these patches were designed with line art in Adobe Illustrator. Text was wrapped around the circular pattern. The map of Afghanistan is in the background, and both flag colors appear on the eagle’s wings to represent the teamwork between the USA and Afghanistan forces.

Creating Digital Art From Old Media - Painted Seal

On the left is a picture of an old painted seal which hangs in town hall. I re-created this seal representation using the latest vector software. Once the artwork is turned into line art, not only does it provide for beautiful reproduction on print media and electronic documents, but it is easy to change the appearance. The text can be changed to represent different sub divisions of the organization, or as depicted on the right, seasonal highlights can be added. This particular artwork was utilized by the Township of Edison for various events such as the opening of the Public Safety Building in Raritan Center, and on the Township website for the Department of Public Safety.

Edison Fire Department Seal

The Edison Fire Department was in need of a new clear line art rendering of their logo. They provided me with an old, outdated and pixelated graphic as seen lower left, and behind it is a scan of one of their embroidered patches. As is usually the case, they did not have the original artwork that was used to manufacture the patches, as most traditional suppliers kept the designs in house. I provided them with the graphic on the right which is print media ready, and can be used by them for their letterhead, forms, business cards, and electronic publishing. Crisp clear vectorized artwork that does not pixelate at higher resolutions.

For Okami Yama Martial Arts Center (translated to Wolf Mountain) I’ve designed a vectorized logo, modern dynamic website, clean letterhead, tri-fold brochures, business cards and membership cards for a complete Corporate Identity package which is unique and specific to business. With digital artwork, creating future print media, while replicating the corporate identity, will be a breeze.

Edison Police Patch Vectorized from Embroidered Patch

The Edison Police Patch was designed decades ago, long before the home personal computer and graphic design software. Other’s have come up with their versions as technology has allowed for, and this is my rendering of the Edison Police Patch. This rendering has been used by the Edison Police Department on official documents, letterhead, and officers’ personal business cards.

I was brought in again in 2007 to photograph and design campaign material. Glossy business cards, door hangers, and rack flyers were designed and professionally printed. I also designed black and white advertisements for newspapers or B&W printing using Adobe Illustrator. In addition, I designed and built a website for the campaign.

I have been hired to develop campaign material during local government and board of education elections. This rack flyer, complete with back side postcard mailing graphics, was developed for the depicted candidates. I handled photography, design layout, and printing of the flyers.

In February of 2007 the Edison PBA Community Outreach sponsored and organized the Battle of the Bands at Middlesex County College for Edison and surrounding community High School bands. Shown here is the advertisement which was printed as a rack flyer high gloss, and shown in the photo are some of Edison Township’s community leaders and government officials, and Bon Jovi’s guitarist Richie Sambora.
